Sapphire Coast Rubbish Removal
Last updated: September 2026
Â
These Terms and Conditions apply to rubbish removal, property clearances, green waste removal, kerbside collections, NDIS-related removals and mobile skip bin hire services provided by Sapphire Coast Rubbish Removal.
Â
By requesting a quote or booking our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Â
Quotes and pricing
Â
Quotes are based on the information provided to us at the time of the enquiry.
Â
The price of a rubbish removal job may depend on a number of factors, including:
Â
-
The number and volume of items to be removed
-
The type and weight of the items
-
The amount of rubbish or waste
-
How easily the items can be accessed
-
The distance between the items and our vehicle
-
Stairs, narrow access, steep driveways or other access difficulties
-
Whether items need to be dismantled or require additional handling
-
The time and labour required to complete the job
-
Disposal or other applicable fees
Â
Where possible, we may ask for photographs or descriptions of the items and access to help provide an accurate quote.
Â
A quote may need to be adjusted if the conditions, quantity, type or accessibility of the rubbish differs materially from the information provided when the quote was given.
We will discuss any significant change to the quoted price with you before proceeding with additional work wherever reasonably possible.
Â
Changes to the job
Â
If the amount or type of rubbish is different from what was described or shown when the quote was provided, we may need to revise the price.
Â
For example, a quote may change where:
Â
-
There are substantially more items than originally described
-
Items are significantly larger or heavier than expected
-
Additional rooms, areas or structures need to be cleared
-
Items are located in an area that is difficult to access
-
Stairs, long distances, narrow passages or other obstacles make removal more difficult
-
Additional labour or equipment is required
-
The waste contains materials that require different handling or disposal
Â
We will communicate any material price change before carrying out the additional work, where reasonably practicable.
Â
Access to the property
Â
You are responsible for ensuring that we have reasonable and safe access to the property and the items to be removed.
Please tell us about any access issues when requesting a quote, including stairs, gates, narrow driveways, steep access, locked areas or other obstacles.
If access is materially different from what was described when the quote was provided, additional charges may apply or the job may need to be rescheduled.
We reserve the right to refuse or stop work where access or working conditions are unsafe.
Â
Items we can remove
Â
We can remove a range of household, commercial, garden and general unwanted items, subject to the type of waste and applicable disposal requirements.
If you are unsure whether we can remove a particular item, please ask before booking.
Certain materials may require specialist handling, disposal or equipment and may not be accepted as part of our standard rubbish removal services.
Prohibited or unsafe items
Â
We may refuse to collect items that are dangerous, prohibited, contaminated or otherwise unsuitable for our equipment or disposal arrangements.
This may include hazardous chemicals, asbestos, explosives, certain fuels, dangerous substances and other materials that require specialist disposal.
You must tell us about any potentially hazardous or unusual materials before the job begins.
Â
We may refuse to handle an item if doing so could put our staff, contractors, customers, the public or property at risk.
Â
Property and personal belongings
Â
Before we begin a clearance, you are responsible for identifying and removing any items that you wish to keep.
Once an item has been identified for removal and taken as rubbish, we may not be able to return it.
You should also remove or secure valuable, fragile or personal belongings from areas being cleared.
Â
Property damage
Â
We take reasonable care when removing items from your property.
However, some items may be difficult to remove without causing minor marks or damage, particularly where items are large, heavy or located in confined spaces.
You must inform us of any known hazards, fragile surfaces, restricted access or other conditions that may affect removal.
We will take reasonable care, but we are not responsible for damage caused by pre-existing conditions, defective structures or circumstances that could not reasonably have been identified before or during the removal.
Â
Green waste and yard clean-ups
Â
Green waste and yard removal may include branches, leaves, garden clippings and other suitable garden waste.
The quoted price may depend on the volume, weight, type and accessibility of the green waste.
Additional charges may apply where waste contains materials that are not suitable for standard green waste disposal.
Â
Kerbside collections
Â
For kerbside or curbside collections, items should be placed in an accessible location that does not obstruct pedestrians, traffic or neighbouring properties.
You are responsible for ensuring that items placed for collection are permitted to be removed and do not include items you intend to keep.
If items are significantly different from those described when the quote was provided, the price may be revised.
Â
Deceased estate clearances
Â
We understand that deceased estate clearances can involve sensitive circumstances.
Our role is to provide the agreed removal and clearance service. Customers or their authorised representatives are responsible for identifying items that are to be retained, donated, sold or removed before the clearance begins.
Where ownership or authority to dispose of items is unclear, we may require confirmation from the appropriate person before removing them.
Â
NDIS-related removals
Â
For NDIS-related rubbish removal, the customer, participant, support person, plan manager or other relevant party is responsible for confirming that the requested service and payment arrangements are appropriate.
We provide the agreed rubbish removal service and do not determine whether a particular service is eligible for NDIS funding.
Â
Mobile skip bin hire
Â
Mobile skip bin hire is subject to the agreed hire period, size and conditions provided at the time of booking.
The bin must be used only for permitted waste materials.
Customers must not overfill the bin or place prohibited materials inside it.
Additional charges may apply for prohibited materials, overloading, extended hire periods or circumstances requiring additional handling or disposal.
The bin must be positioned in a safe and accessible location agreed with us.
Â
Payment
Â
Payment terms and methods will be confirmed when your service is booked or quoted.
Unless otherwise agreed, payment is required when the service is completed.
Additional work or disposal costs may be charged where they have been agreed with the customer.
Â
Cancellations and rescheduling
Â
If you need to cancel or reschedule a booking, please contact us as soon as possible.
We may charge a cancellation or call-out fee where a booking is cancelled at short notice or after we have incurred reasonable costs in preparing for the job.
Any applicable cancellation fee will be communicated to you before it is charged.
Â
Delays and unforeseen circumstances
Â
We will make reasonable efforts to arrive at the agreed time.
However, delays can occur due to traffic, weather, access issues, previous jobs taking longer than expected, vehicle or equipment issues and other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Â
Where possible, we will contact you if there is a significant delay.
Â
Customer responsibilities
Â
You agree to:
-
Provide accurate information when requesting a quote
-
Tell us about access restrictions or potential hazards
-
Identify items that are to be removed
-
Remove or secure items that are not to be removed
-
Ensure you have the authority to request disposal of the items
-
Provide safe access to the property where required
-
Tell us about any hazardous or unusual materials before the job begins
Â
Our right to refuse a job
Â
We may refuse or stop a job where the work is unsafe, the items are prohibited, access is materially different from what was described, or circumstances arise that mean the job cannot reasonably be completed using our available equipment and services.
Where reasonably practicable, we will explain the reason for refusing or stopping the work.
Â
Liability
Â
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, restricted or modified under Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the resupply of the relevant services or the cost of having those services supplied again.
